My Story
Dr. Portia Pope is the CEO of Prelude to Prosperity Consulting, LLC, where she provides leadership coaching and development, management consulting, neuroscience-based coaching, as well as keynote speaking. As both a coach and consultant, she partners with executives, boards, and organizations to unlock leadership potential, strengthen teams, and drive measurable results.
With more than 25 years of combined state and federal government experience and over 15 years of coaching expertise, Dr. Pope blends practical insight with transformative strategies. Her work empowers leaders and organizations to navigate change, foster growth, and achieve breakthroughs with measurable outcomes.
Dr. Pope holds a Ph.D., two master’s degrees, and a bachelor’s degree. She is nationally certified in project management, contract management, Lean Six Sigma, agile project management, and data analytics.
She is a published author, a visiting scholar, and serves on several advisory boards, including one at Duke University. Recognized with the Cheryl Boyce National Leadership Award and the African American Hero Award from Halifax Community College, Dr. Pope’s work is driven by a commitment to advancing leadership, fostering organizational growth, and helping individuals and institutions unlock their full potential.
